The Challenge
Buzzilla needed to migrate their on-premises infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform to support rapid growth, while simultaneously building a robust, enterprise-grade web scraping platform. Their legacy systems were bottlenecks limiting scalability and innovation. The migration had to be completed with zero downtime to avoid disrupting enterprise clients, and the new scraping platform needed to reliably collect and process massive volumes of media data from thousands of sources at scale.
Our Solution
OpsBeam delivered a comprehensive two-phase engagement. For the migration, we designed a phased strategy using lift-and-shift for stateless services and re-platforming for data-intensive workloads, with continuous data replication and DNS-based traffic switching for zero-downtime cutover. For the web scraping platform, we architected a distributed, cloud-native system on Kubernetes — featuring an auto-scaling worker fleet, intelligent proxy rotation with geo-distributed pools, adaptive rate limiting, and anti-detection measures. The data pipeline included real-time ingestion via message queues, automated transformation and enrichment, quality validation, and delivery to Buzzilla's analytics engine with 99.9% reliability.
